Write the script for a scene from a photograph. Include a major character and one or two others. Imagine, for the main, viewpoint character in the scene:
- what she or he wants or doesn’t want — desperately,
- what she’s most afraid of, and
- what will make her most memorable to the reader.
Remember to:
- Set the scene. Include details such as time of day, weather, facial expressions, and actions.
- Use dialogue that moves the story along
- Avoid dialogue that is wooden, small talk, Dick Tracy talk, or has too much dialect.
Suggested length: 900 words.
Suggested format: Play script or screenplay script.
